For the next few weeks, I'm going to try to post about each team and the impact their players can have on fantasy. I'll start from the bottom and work my way up to the defending champs! Without further ado, the worst team by record in the NFL - the Arizona Cardinals.

Quarterback - Kyler Murray
I mean technically, they have Brett Hundley, but he doesn't count when you picked a guy named Kyler Murray at #1 overall. From what I'm hearing, Kyler is either going to have an explosive, top-8 year or he's going to be a flop. Nothing in between. In my opinion however, I'd bet on the first option. Kyler's got all the physical tools he needs to succeed and Russell Wilson's rise to stardom has proven height at the quarterback isn't everything (Just don't tell the Giants that). The Cardinals have the stud RB, the pass heavy coach, and the hall of fame WR who is still going strong. The only concern is the team's lack of overall talent and experience. I have no doubts that Kyler can post an insane year in the air and on the ground, but don't count on it as a sure thing.

Running Back - David Johnson
I'm super high on David Johnson this year. While Kyler can have a massive range of outcomes this upcoming year, I think DJ is a surefire top-5 running back with RB1 potential written all over him. After 2 disappointing years where, simply put, DJ got unlucky, people suddenly forgot about his ridiculous 2K, 20 TD year on a mediocre offense. If Kliff Kingsbury can pull the team together and Kyler is what everyone believes he can be, DJ is going to have open lanes to run through and can easily surpass his rushing numbers from the last 2 years combined. But where Johnson really excels is in the receiving game and I think he is in a prime spot to dominate. Draft him in all formals and watch the yards and TDs pile on.

Receivers - Larry Fitzgerald, Hakeem Butler, Christian Kirk
People are going to get really excited about the Butler and Kirk pairing with Kyler Murray, and they have good reason to be. Both receivers are quick and athletic and finally have a stud quarterback throwing them the ball. I have no doubt that they're both going to have good years. But I have a surprise for you - Larry Fitzgerald is going to be the best Cardinals receiver. What's new? Every year, people think Fitz's age is going to get to him and every year, he keeps catching the football. Every. Year. That the trend will change with an offensive minded coach at the reigns and a quarterback who will not think twice before airing it out. Think WR3 years for Butler and Kirk but legit high end WR2 PPR numbers for Fitz.
Tight end - Charles Clay
Clay has been pretty good the past couple of years and is put in a great situation. He could have a good, mid TE1 year, or he could be invisible. I think he's a good risk to take this year in an exciting offense.
Final predictions -
The Cardinals are perhaps the most intriguing, all-or-nothing offense in the league with the arrival of Kyler Murray. Kyler will completely change the dynamic of the offense and the team as a whole, but the question will be can they score points. If that can happen in bunches, expect big years from the Cardinals' skill position players in fantasy football. Another tip - if you're drafting at the end of the first round, PPR or STD, and David Johnson magically falls into your lap, please pick him up and thank me later.
