With 10 weeks done and the playoffs soon approaching, fantasy owners are growing more and more desperate to grab a breakout player to save their season. In this post, I'm going to go over the week 10 breakout players and their rest of season value.

Lamar Jackson, possibly the coolest guy in the NFL, is also having a pretty good season

Lamar Jackson (QB Ravens) - I had to put this one in here. Even though Lamar was already ranked as a top 5 quarterback in the league, he just keeps improving and putting up video game numbers. To put his current season in perspective, Lamar Jackson would rank as 11th among running backs in yards and T-7th among running backs in touchdowns. Just a side note: he also has over 2,000 pass yards, 15 pass TDs and the 4th highest quarterback rating. This guy has firmly vaulted himself into the top 2 in MVP voting with a combination of big wins (against the Patriots and Seahawks), crazy stats (as mentioned above), and ridiculous plays (see 47 yard rush touchdown). If this guy can kick it one gear up, he's a surefire league winner.

Derrick Henry has been an absolute beast on the ground this season, but has been surprisingly consistent too

Derrick Henry (RB Titans) - Derrick Henry has been an absolute beast this season. There was a lot of doubt coming into this season about how Henry's stats were padded by a few long runs, but he has shown us thus far that he can consistently produce game in and game out and still rip off long runs. Henry has crossed 75 yards from scrimmage in 8/10 games this season and scored in 7/10, so as long as this guy is on the field, he is a surefire RB1. Don't expect 190+ yards and 2 touchdowns every week, but don't even think about benching this guy.

Christian Kirk has shown great chemistry with rookie QB Kyler Murray so far this season

Christian Kirk (WR Cardinals) - Kirk cruised for 138 yards and 3 scores against the Bucs this week. Now, the Buccaneers are well known to have one of the worst aerial defenses in football, so obviously Kirk's stats were padded a little, but there is a lot to like with the Cardinals so far. Kyler Murray has been exactly what the Cardinals hoped for when they took him first overall and to the joy of all Christian Kirk owners, he has ascended to the teams' number 1 target. Coming back from ankle injury, Kirk did not seem slowed at all and looks ready to post WR2 numbers for the rest of the season.

Kareem Hunt had a huge receiving game workload in his first game back from suspension

Kareem Hunt (RB Browns) - Coming back from an 8 game suspension to start the season, Kareem Hunt took a backseat to Nick Chubb on the ground. Through the air, though, all he did was rack up 7 catches on 9 yards and play 54% of snaps. Now, don't fool yourself and think that Kareem Hunt will overtake Chubb as the teams primary ball carrier. Nick Chubb is a top-5 running back in the league with elite power, speed and vision, but has always struggled in the passing game. In PPR leagues, however, Hunt is looking like a Flex worthy player in one of the most pass heavy offenses in football.
